PdII metallation of a β-tetraphenyl meso-hexakis(pentafluorophenyl) substituted [26]hexaphyrin afforded two twisted Möbius aromatic complexes, which were well separated by column chromatography owing to conformational rigidity conferred by PdII-complexation.
