Executives from five countries joined 98th CSJ Annual Meeting

During the 98th CSJ Annual Meeting, held at Funabashi Campus of Nihon University on March 20-23, six executives from five countries attended the conference.

Prof. Chain-Shu Hsu (President of Chemical Society Located in Taipei)
Prof. Raymond Wai-Yeung Wong (President of Hong Kong Chemical Society)
Prof. Hyun-Joon Ha (President of Korean Chemical Society)
Prof. Sang-Won Lee (Vice-President of Korean Chemical Society)
Prof. Peter Junk (President of Australian Chemical Society)
Prof. Wolfram Koch (Executive Director of German Chemical Society)

On the third day, Prof. Hisashi Yamamoto, president of Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ), and Prof. Mitsuo Sawamoto, executive director of CSJ, joined the lunch meeting. They discussed each societies' current problem, promotions on how to increase society members, and cooperation between each society.

On the night of the third day, "International Chemists' Evening", a banquet for attendees from overseas was celebrated. At the beginning of the party, five executives gave comments on the 140th CSJ anniversary and relationship between CSJ and each society.
