During the 98th CSJ Annual Meeting, held at Funabashi Campus of Nihon University on March 20-23, six executives from five countries attended the conference.

On the third day, Prof. Hisashi Yamamoto, president of Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ), and Prof. Mitsuo Sawamoto, executive director of CSJ, joined the lunch meeting. They discussed each societies' current problems, promotions on how to increase society members, and cooperation between each society.
On the night of the third day, "International Chemists' Evening", a banquet for attendees from overseas was celebrated. At the beginning of the party, five executives gave comments on the 140th CSJ anniversary and relationship between CSJ and each society.
