PCCP Prize 2024 Winner Announcement

Posted: Feb. 08, 2024 Category: PCCP

The Chemical Society of Japan (CSJ) and the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) jointly recognize the international "PCCP Prize," named after the RSC-published established academic journal PCCP (Physical Chemistry Chemical Physics).

Since its initiation in 2007, we have annually selected several award candidates and jointly awarded them with the RSC.

For this year also, a wide call for candidates was made, and recommendations for deserving candidates were sought from the 21 divisions of the Chemical Society of Japan.
Recently, the "PCCP Prize Selection Committee" convened and reviewed 26 nomination documents submitted by 11 CSJ divisions. The assessment criteria encompassed research topics, performance outcomes, and the effective presentation of accomplishments.

As a result, the following three individuals have been selected as awardees for the 2024 PCCP Prize, and this decision was approved at the CSJ Board of Directors' Meeting held on February 7th.

The winners of the 2024 PCCP Prize mentioned below are to be honored during the Awards Ceremony on March 19th (Tuesday), the second day of the 104th Spring Meeting, where they will receive their prestigious PCCP Prize certificates along with supplementary prizes.
