Scholarships for international students have recently become a topic of public debate. This forum will explore the research and education systems needed for our country to advance internationalisation.
Prof. Kaori Sugihara of the University of Tokyo, author of "/The Galapagosization of Japanese Research" in Ronsetsu, will introduce key issues for discussion. Mr. Shigekazu Matsuura, Deputy Director-General of the Higher Education Bureau, will provide an overview of the scholarship system for international students. The session will conclude with an exchange of views based on perspectives and experiences from the field.
