CSJ president won the L'Oréal-UNESCO international awards for women in science

Professor Maki Kawai, the president of the Chemical Society of Japan, has been selected to be a recipient of the 21st L'Oréal-UNESCO international awards for women in science.

This award was established in 1998 by L'Oréal and UNESCO to honor exceptional women scientists who achieved outstanding research in the fields of material science, mathematics and computer science.

Prof. Kawai will attend the award ceremony on March 14 at UNESCO's Headquarters in Paris.
