Nagakura Saburo Award for 2023

The Chemical Society of Japan (President, Prof. Hiroaki Suga) decided the winner of the Nagakura Saburo Award for the year of 2023 at the CSJ Board of Directors as follows.

[The Nagakura Saburo Award Winner for 2023] Name: Ryu Abe, Professor, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Hokkaido UniversityAward Title: Development of Computational Methods for Exploring Unknown Chemical Reactions Based on Quantum Chemical Calculations

Professor Satoshi Maeda has been awarded the Chemical Society of Japan Award for Creative Work for 2021, and his pioneering and original achievements have been highly evaluated both in Japan and abroad. Since further development is expected in the future, his achievements have been recognized as worthy of the Nagakura Saburo Award. The awardee will receive a plaque with a medal bearing the face of Dr. Saburo Nagakura and an extra prize.
