On July 19th, 2024, four students representing Japan at the 56th International Chemistry Olympiad paid a courtesy visit to the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Japan. During the visit, members of the Cultural Section of the Saudi Arabian Embassy gave a lecture on local customs and culture, and encouraged the representatives to do their best at the contest.
On July 20th, the student representatives will depart Japan, and from July 21st to the 30th will participate in the International Chemistry Olympiad Saudi Arabian Tournament. After returning to Japan, they are also scheduled to pay courtesy visits to the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology and the Ministry of Economics, Trade and Industry.
