ジェンセン・レイダーはアメリカに生まれ、カリフォルニア州立大学で化学を勉強しました。さらにハワイ大学で1996年に修士課程(化学)を修了し、東北大学で博士課程(化学)を取得しました。ギターが好きで、日本にいる間は、東京と京都でライブ会場での音楽を楽しみました。カナダのバンクーバーに住んでいましたが、今は日本在住です。国際会議や討論会・シンポジウムに参加し、講演やポスター発表を聴いて勉強したり、懇親会に参加してネットワークを新たに構築したりしています。
この度、より実践的な新英語講座「発見！化学論文」を始めます。短い文章（論文に想定されるような化学の英語文章）を用いて、言い換えや間違えやすい箇所を解説していきます。お楽しみに！

Rader Jensen was born in North America and studied chemistry at California State University. He further earned a master's degree in chemistry from the University of Hawai'i and a doctorate in chemistry from Tohoku University.
He enjoys playing guitar, and while in Japan, has enjoyed the live music scenes in Tokyo and Kyoto. He previously lived in Vancouver, Canada, but currently resides in Japan. Taking part in international conferences, discussions and symposia, he attends lectures and poster sessions, and builds new networks by attending social gatherings.
We are now launching a new, more practical English course, Discover! Chemistry Writing. Using short texts (chemistry-related language like that found in academic papers), we will explain paraphrasing and common errors. Stay tuned!
